Welcome Kirsten Mortimer!

On behalf of the entire ICIT team, we would like to welcome Kirsten Mortimer as the new Technology Documentation and Training Specialist for the LTC. Her first day was Monday (1/28).  Kirsten’s responsibilities will include; designing and developing training strategies utilizing documentation, consultations, workshops, and online training materials in both text and video to support tool use as well as creating documentation for new technology tools adopted by the campus, working with positions inside and outside of ICIT to understand audience needs.

Kirsten comes to us from the office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement where she focused on alumni relations and stewardship. She served as the project manager for numerous activities, communicated with alumni in a variety of ways and managed the department’s Alumni Mentor Program, which connects alumni and students. Prior to her time at UW-W, Kirsten worked as a Museum Curator, an Online Learning Coach and a Youth Services Librarian.

Kirsten lives near Fort Atkinson with her husband and two children (daughter and son). Her family sustainably manages 12 acres of land which includes a dog, a small flock of sheep, chickens, a PV array, a bee hive and a large garden! In her free time, you will find Kirsten spending time outdoors or enjoying a new book. She can also knit, so be sure to get your Christmas sweater orders in ASAP!

We are thrilled to have Kirsten join us. Please take some time to stop in and welcome her to the ICIT Team.
