George Jura resigns from iCIT

George Jura has announced that he will be leaving UW-Whitewater iCIT to join the UW-Madison School of Nursing, in the position of Director of Academic Technology. George’s last day at UW-Whitewater will be Friday, August 31.

George joined iCIT in August 2008 as Technology Advancement and Training Coordinator. In this role George has developed and taught a curriculum of workshops for faculty and staff on productivity and enterprise software, with over 30 workshops taught each semester, as well as summer technology overview for new faculty and academic staff.

With time, his role expanded to include managing UW-W TechQuest, an innovative technology orientation for over 2000 incoming freshmen and transfer students, and collaboration with FYE on various Plan-It Purple related events.

George also maintained the training section of iCIT website, developed digital signage content for iCIT, lead the redesign of UW-W iTunes U presence, and produced numerous screencasts and technical documentation distributed online. During his four years with iCIT, George delivered presentations on staff training, iTunes U, and TechQuest at three Educause conferences.

We thank George for his time and dedication spent with us and wish him the best of luck in his future position.
