Greg Pepper has accepted a position as a Windows System Administrator with Robert W. Baird, Inc. in downtown Milwaukee. His last day at UW-W will be Friday, April 25. We will miss Greg’s hard work and sense of humor, but wish him well in his new opportunity. Good luck and best wishes, Greg!
Staff Office Locations
Two iCIT staff members recently moved their office locations to better align with their roles and responsibilities. Jason Schmidt has moved from MG9 to MG208B, and Brett Cook has moved from MG16 to L2003G.
Michael Ostrowski Accepts Instructional Facilities Coordinator Position
iCIT welcomes Michael Ostrowski as the new Instructional Facilities Coordinator. He will oversee the technology in instructional facilities such as the general purpose classrooms and Distance Education classrooms. Michaels primary responsibilities will include coordination of the technology in facilities that deliver the DE (real-time) courses and programs, plan, design, and oversee the operation of regular classroom AV technology systems, video distance education systems, and related functions.
Michael is coming to UWW from Aiken Community College in Aiken, South Carolina where he has worked as the Director of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology since 1999. His first day will be Monday, March 10 and his office will be in McGraw 10.
Joe Friedel Accepts Client Software Technologist Position
iCIT is pleased to announce that Joe Friedel has accepted the position of Client Software Technologist and will start in that role officially on Monday, March 3. In this role, Joe’s primary responsibility will be to provide expertise and support of client software for campus enterprise and departmental systems. Congratulations to Joe, and please wish him well in his new role.
Brett Cook Accepts Role as Workstation Services Manager
iCIT is pleased to announce that Brett Cook has accepted the position of Workstation Services Manager and will start in that role officially on Monday, February 11. In this role, Brett will be responsible for the on-going support of the workstation management tools, processes and policies for remote workstation management and the images used for computer provisioning. The position is responsible for providing the environment which allows other iCIT staff to carry out their support responsibilities, and which meets the needs of customers. In addition, the position is responsible for supporting new technologies as applied to departmental business processes.
