Author’s Note

Thoughts and Figures is a blog for thoughts and action figures! I’ve always enjoyed the imagination action figures and toys can spark through play. I think they also keep a healthy pathway open to our childhood, and, as one of my favorite sci-fi heroes, Doctor Who (1963) once said, “There’s no point in being grown up if you can’t be childish sometimes.” (Doctor Who, Robot, episode four, 1975). I would also like to dedicate the action figure portion of this page to my good friend Scott Smetak who passed away in 2018. He was an active collector of figures and toys with an unrivaled collection, and he was not afraid to open the box to enjoy them!
