Cooper Calm

November 29, 2017

Cooper didn’t used to be so calm and content. He used to never want to sleep. Playing was the only thing he ever wanted to do. Why? Because he was a puppy. It takes TIME for dogs to calm down and not act like “puppies” do. One day it will just change. Don’t get me wrong, he still is an active, happy pup, however he knows when it’s appropriate and when it’s not now. Since he is almost 3, he had grown into a dog that listens so incredibly well. We are constantly getting compliments on how good of a dog he is. Yes, some of that growing up lands on you since it’s your responsibility to train them, however the personality aspect is on them.

Have patience with your pets. Some grow up and become calm faster than others. Don’t lose faith in them and say to yourself, “I can’t do this.” Yes sometimes it’s a lot to handle, but the happiness they bring to your life outweighs all that. All pets start as puppies, and they all have to learn sometime. So be patient and let them grow, because it happens faster than you can imagine!
