The football Gods have finally answered the prayers of Green Bay Packers fans. With the trade of third year cornerbackĀ  Damarious Randall and acquisition of quarterback DeShone Kizer, it gives more security if something were to happen to Rodgers again.

Compared to current Packers backup Brett Hundley, Kizer started 15 games, six more than Hundley. He also threw two more touchdowns than Hundley and ran for three more scores than Hundley.

In exchange for Kizer, the Cleveland Browns recieve the four year pro Damarious Randall. Playing at Arizona State, Randall used his long frame to lock down opposing receivers. Since being drafted in the first round of the 2015 draft, Randall has under performed by being outplayed by the top tier play makers in the NFL. To add to poor performance, Randall has battled through multiple injuries and has yet to play a full season.

In the coming weeks, Look forward to seeing new Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst test the markets in free agency. In the past few days former Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman has been released. The for time pro-bowler can bring leadership, skill, and toughness to the young Green Bay secondary who gave up on average 237 passing yards and an opposingĀ  QB rating of 102.0 which was second worst in the league.
