The 2022 NFL Draft takes place April 28 to April 30, and everyone is excited.             The draft itself will take place in Las Vegas at the Draft Theater, which is located behind the High Roller Observation Wheel and The LINQ+Experience Hotel and adjacent to Caesars Forum.             In addition to the draft itself, there is something called the Draft Experience, an interactive NFL theme park. Features include games and clinics, food and beverages, and exclusive NFL merchandise available for purchase.             Dallas Cowboys’ cornerback Kelvin Joseph has been named a person of interest in a homicide case, that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Cameron Ray, a native of Lower Greeneville, Texas.             The fatal incident took place on March 18after Ray was hanging out in Dallas with some buddies. Things went south when another group of men started a fight with Ray’s group. According to police, Ray was not aggressive. After the fight. Ray and his buddies began to walk back to their car when an oncoming SUV opened fire and killed Ray. Dwayne Haskins Death

            The NFL world was shaken with some tragic news on Saturday morning with the death of one of its young stars.             Quarterback Dwayne Haskins, an Ohio State standout and a member of the Washington Commanders and Pittsburgh Steelers, passed away on Saturday when he was struck by a dump truck in South Florida. He was in the Sunshine State training for the upcoming season with his fellow Steeler teammates.             While the death was certainly tragic, more people are talking about the controversial tweet that ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter sent on Saturday. Draft Trade

With the NFL Draft just around the corner, teams are already making moves.   On Monday the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints swapped draft picks. In the reported deal, the Saints have acquired the Eagles two first-round player pick no. 16 and pick no. 19 as well as a sixth-round selection, pick no. 194.  On the flipside, the Saints are sending the Eagles their first-round selection pick no. 18 this draft, a 2023 first-round pick, a third-round pick from this year’s draft, no. 101, and a seventh-round pick no. 237.  New Orleans adds two draft picks for the price of one and are hoping that pick lands somewhere late in the 2023 draft. NFL Owners Meeting

The annual NFL Owners Meeting took place this past weekend, March 27-30, 2022, in Florida. Many topics of discussion were up for debate including modifying overtime rules and the lack of minority hirings by the 32 franchises.             On Tuesday March 29, the owners voted to modify the rules of overtime during the NFL postseason. NFL Broadcast Shakeup

Troy Aikman shook up the NFL broadcasting world this past week.             Aikman, a Hall of Fame quarterback who played for the Dallas Cowboys and the lead football analyst on Fox Sports’ NFL coverage for more than two decades, has reportedly agreed to join ESPN as the lead analyst on their series, ESPN Monday Night Football. The deal is reportedly for five years and worth $90 million. This has created a massive shift in the world of broadcasting. The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday. Both teams got off to a slow start after a 7-3 first quarter, but the action picked up in the 2nd.
