If perhaps you haven’t ventured much beyond Academic Search Complete or ERIC, we’ve got some great resources for you! These two classic education databases are geared towards the younger set and those who work or will work with them. Primary Search provides full text articles from more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school research. Middle Search Plus provides full text articles from more than 140 popular middle school magazines and also contains nearly 84,800 biographies, 105,800 primary source documents, and a collection of photos, maps and flags. Most full text articles included in these databases are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexile). Also, if you don’t want to read an article yourself, try out the nifty Listen feature wherein you have one of several voices read the article to you at a slow, medium or fast pace.
