All UW libraries, including UWW’s Andersen Library, are migrating from one library system to another during Spring Semester. The system is used for circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, etc., but the migration affects all library users:
UWW students and staff must borrow books and DVDs from other UW libraries using ILLiad interlibrary loan from Thurs., Apr. 9, through May 21. Universal Borrowing through Research@UWW will be DOWN, and once the new system is functional it will have a new name.
UWW instructors must request any additional Course Reserves needed for the rest of Spring Semester by Mon., Apr. 13.
My Account will be frozen from May 15 through May 21. Although you will be able to check out and return items, this information will not be synced with your online account during the migration period, so some of the My Account information may be inaccurate. You will not be able to renew materials during this week either, so make your renewals before May 15th. In addition, materials checked out in late April-early May might have slightly longer-than-usual loan periods.
New materials won’t be processed until the new system is functional on May 21st.
In addition, once the new system is up, Research@UWW will look a bit different! For example, Instead of a “Request” tab there will be a tab called “Get it” that you’ll click to make requests for items from other UW campus libraries. Permalinks from the previous Research@UWW will need to be updated with new links, e.g., http://uw-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/WW:WW_VOY17051 is an example of a link that will no longer work because it contains the string WW_VOY.
Please bear with us! We’ll all be learning to navigate the new and improved system and Research@UWW together.
