Internships and Scholarships and Opportunities, Oh My!

A couple of opportunities for students to pass along:

  • The Pipeline Project is currently seeking applications from LGBT students of color for available internships for the 2012-2013 academic year. The Pipeline Project is a recruitment, retention, and leadership advancement effort created to produce programs that together will represent a long-term effort to increase the number of people of color working within the nation’s LGBT rights, service, and advocacy sector and ultimately increase the level of diversity in the leadership of our movement. Visit their website for complete details or contact nextwave@lgbtpipeline.org for more information.
  • Battelle, the world’s largest independent research and development organization, and the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals (NOGLSTP) are now accepting applications for the 2012 Battelle/NOGLSTP Out To Innovate Scholarships. Online applications can be found on the NOGLSTP website and must be submitted by 1 June 2012.

About kyle

I'm the library guy. No, seriously, I'm the only male reference & instruction librarian. I also have the pleasure of serving several campus committees, the Academic Staff Assembly and the Chancellor's Task Force on LGBT Issues, among others.
