Spring 2011 in the Warhawk Involvement Center

Chris Hollar, the task force’s amazing secretary, also heads up the Warhawk Involvement Center. It just so happens that the leadership assistants put together awesome programs each semester, all with the purpose of expanding the horizons of the participants. A few of this spring’s highlights include:

  • The Body Image Project – 14-15 February
Learn more about the project by visiting the artist’s website (Larry Kirkwood).
  • Staceyann Chin – 9 March – 7 PM
She is an out poet, political activist and gifted performer – check out her website for more information.
  • Dialogue on the Human Perspective – 11 March – 1-7PM
This is an experiential program for students/staff to participate in talking about personal perspectives on diversity.
  • After Stonewall – 26 April – 730PM
John Scagliotti, the producer of the documentary, will be on campus to share his work and discuss the impact of the Stonewall Riots on the state of LGBT politics today.

About kyle

I'm the library guy. No, seriously, I'm the only male reference & instruction librarian. I also have the pleasure of serving several campus committees, the Academic Staff Assembly and the Chancellor's Task Force on LGBT Issues, among others.
