A task force is defined as a temporary group that is formed to analyze, investigate, and problem-solve a specific issue. A committee is a group elected or appointed to perform a service or function regarding issues on a specific subject. As of June 2015, Chancellor Telfer has agreed to rename the Chancellor’s LGBT* Task Force to be the Chancellor’s Committee on LGBT* Issues.
