Working for a company: There are many companies that need photographers for advertising purposes! Starting off with a company can be a good way to practice your photography skills before being a freelance photographer!
It can be hard to work for yourself, but I believe that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. If you are interested in being a freelance photographer, start off with using your family and friends as clients to show off your work. Make a website and post your work all over social media! Another way to get your content out is by entering photography competitions! There are so many free ones that you can enter online.
