Types Of Photography

The different types of photography that I will be covering in this blog post are portrait photography, wedding photography, street photography and fashion photography.

Starting off with portrait photography, this is one of my favorite types of photography to partake in. This can range anywhere from senior pictures to regular photo shoots for fun. I find that I can be so creative in this category of photography. Taking senior pictures is so fun and memorable for me because it is such a big moment for the high schoolers, and it makes me so excited that I get to be capturing their big moment.

The next type of photography is wedding photography. Wedding and engagement pictures is something that I would love to advance to, once my business grows. Engagement pictures are so beautiful, and even more fulfilling than portrait photos. Most photographers start off with senior portraits, and advance from there.

The next type of photography is street photography. This type of photography is very cool! It is mostly based on candid photography and capturing peoples everyday lives in the city. Shooting in bigger cities calls for more activity and possibly cooler shots. Street photography is also always edited to be black and white.

The last type of photography is fashion photography. This is usually a category for very advanced photographers, shooting for fashion magazines such as Vogue for instance. This will always be a dream of mine to shoot pictures for a fashion company

  1. As a videographer, I recognize that there are many different types of videography. It can range from filmmaking, commercial, tv-show, and every project has dozens of different roles.

My preferred type of videography is documentary. I’m a trombonist myself so I like to tell stories about the lives of impactful trombonists that lived.

So far I made a documentary about Arthur Pryor and Malawi Lee McDonald.
