It may seem impossible to eat something sweet while trying to eat healthily, but there are plenty of healthier and sweet-tasting desserts. It’s completely normal to crave foods that may not be the healthiest, but instead of either suppressing those cravings or always fully giving in, it could be a good alternative to just find a healthier substitution. One of my favorite alternatives to ice cream is nice cream. There are plenty of ways to make this but what I do is blend frozen bananas, peanut butter, and almond milk. It has the same consistency as ice cream and tastes amazing. Another dessert I’ve been making recently is cutting a banana in half vertically and spreading nut butter on top of it. You can freeze it or eat it right away, I eat it right away but freezing it would always be good. Another healthier snack that is filling and also sweet are rice cakes and whatever you’d like on top. I like spreading nut butter and topping with chocolate chips. It’s a filling dessert and perfect for a sweet craving. The last dessert is protein balls. These balls can consist of peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips, chia seeds, and honey. These protein balls are super easy to make and don’t consist of any baking. You just roll all these ingredients into ball forms and refrigerate for about thirty minutes. All of these desserts can satisfy any sweet craving and are on the healthier side.

  1. I am a sucker for sweets and dessert, therefore I am always trying to find healthier alternatives! One that I often do is apple nachos. I slice up an apple, and drizzle peanut butter, chocolate, and granola on top for a sweet and filling snack!

  2. man, i would really like a portions chart of the protein balls. they sound really good right now and I assume I won’t feel too lethargic afterward.
