There are plenty of foods called “superfoods” that do many great things for our bodies. Superfoods can help our bodies keep off diseases, can promote heart health, weight loss, improve energy, and even reduce the effects of aging. Overall superfoods are known to keep us healthier. There are plenty of superfoods that can improve our overall well-being, but I am going to talk about a few popular ones. One of the most popular superfoods is açaí berries. Açaí Berries are high in antioxidants, healthy fats, fiber, and have so many more health benefits that make them live up to being a top superfood. It has been found that there are certain antioxidants and plant compounds found in these berries that can slow the growth of cancerous cells. Another top superfood is avocados. Avocados can help with everything ranging from reducing cholesterol and alleviating arthritis to lessening the side effects of chemotherapy. Avocados are filled with vitamins that promote skin health and have been linked to reducing the risks of cancer and heart disease. The last superfood I am going to talk about is kale. Kale is low in calories and high in omega-3 fatty acids which help fight conditions like arthritis, asthma, and some autoimmune disorders. Kale is rich in vitamins that support vision, prevent blood clots, and support bone health. Superfoods are great foods that can have so many benefits for your overall health and are so easy to incorporate into any meal or snack.
