It’s the most wonderful time of the year! My absolute favorite time of the year is Christmas time. Filled with happiness, decorations, delicious food, family, friends, presents, Christmas music, Christmas movies, what more could you ask for?? But, Christmas time can be super stressful! With getting gifts for everyone, all the festivities, and everything else going on, it’s hard to balance it all. So, here are some tips to help you stay sane this holiday season.
Take Time For Yourself
Maxing out emotionally and physically can be a real side effect of all the holiday cheer if you don’t take time to recharge. Schedule an evening by yourself that’s just about rest and relaxation. Take a bath, read a book, do some yoga, or just go to bed early!
Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute
Whether it’s shopping, cooking, or decorating, it’s a good idea to get ahead of the game as much as possible. It may feel super overwhelming in your head, but when you break it down, the whole thing will feel much more approachable.
Make a To-Do List
I’m a huge fan of making to-do lists. It helps keep track of what you have to get done, and then you can check them off as you go. It will make everything so much easier and will keep you on track.
Don’t Over-Commit
With the countless things to do during this time of year, many people over-commit, try to please everyone, rush around and do too much at the same time. Only commit to as much as you can handle, don’t agree to too many things. Decrease your load and enjoy the holiday season!
Move Your Body
In this season of indulgence, it’s super important to keep up your regular physical activity to balance your mind, body, and spirit. Take time to exercise, whether it’s a HIIT workout or just a walk outside, to help bring stress levels down.
Have Fun & Enjoy the Holidays
All in all, just enjoy everything the holiday season has to offer! There is no time like the holiday season, the whole atmosphere screams happiness and giving. There’s a reason why they call it the most wonderful time of the year! There are so many things to be thankful for and so many activities to do during this time of the year, so take it all in and enjoy time with loved ones.
