It’s the most wonderful time of the year! My absolute favorite time of the year is Christmas time. Filled with happiness, decorations, delicious food, family, friends, presents, Christmas music, Christmas movies, what more could you ask for?? But, Christmas time can be super stressful! Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Mindfulness is a quality that every human being already possesses, you just have to learn how to access it. By becoming aware of negative thoughts and emotions that arise, we have more choice in how to handle them in the moment and a better chance of reacting calmly when faced with stress or challenges.
