These photos are from 2018 when Nana and I decided to go on a road trip, May 2018. We had decided to go on a road trip because she had volunteered at a piano contest down in Mississippi. We left a week early so we could go explore some other states. We spent most of our time in Tennessee in the Smoky Mountains. It was probably my favorite part of the trip. I love hiking and taking pictures and just enjoying nature. Most of these photos are from driving place to place and just stopping on the side of the road.
These are photos from my trip to Alaska in July, 2016. It was a graduation present from my grandma to my cousin and I. I never thought that I would go there. It was a once in a lifetime trip. We went on a guided trip with other people and went to different cities. The weather was in the 60s, and very light out until the early morning. This trip was filled with so much adventure and wildlife. One day we went whitewater rafting and I spotted about 12 bald eagles. Another day, we went flying and I got to see the tallest mountain in America, Mount Denali. Another day, we went kayaking on Kenai Lake on the Kenai Peninsula. My cousin and I went in our kayak, and apparently kayaked about six miles. The water was breathtaking, so if our kayak had flipped, we would’ve died. The instructor told me and my cousin had kayaked way too far, but I think it was worth it, because it was such a beautiful view. When we went flying, we saw glaciers. We also went on a day cruise, and we saw otters, seals, and a whale. It was amazing! We went gold panning one day, and it was pretty amazing, despite all of the flies and mosquitoes that were biting me. It was such an amazing trip!
