Defense Is the Downfall

The Packers played awful against the Vikings this last Sunday giving the Vikings just their second win on the season, as well as our second loss. Our defensive just played awful, letting Viking running back Dalvin Cook have his way with us. Cook had 3 touchdowns on the ground and one through the air on Sunday and he’s the 3rd player in Vikings history to get 4 touchdowns in a game.

So we determined that our defensive played awful and if your name isn’t Davante Adams on the offensive you need to step it up. The Rodgers and Adams connection was literally the ONLY thing getting points on the board for us. And with our 2nd and 3rd string running backs out for this Thursday game against the 49ers, it should be very interesting especially if Aaron Jones doesn’t play again for the 3rd straight week.

Rodgers played fine I guess. I just wasn’t happy with his attitude all game. He didn’t seem to have any urgency and just seemed ok if we lost. He finished the day with 27 out of 41 completions for 291 yards as well as 3 touchdowns all to Davante Adams. Good enough for 30.9 fantasy points.

Davante Adams had himself another great game, finishing with 7 catches for 53 yards and 3 touchdowns. His performance was good for 30.3 fantasy points.

The last person that is even worthy to talk about on the Packers is Jamaal Williams. He did his best job filling in for Aaron Jones and had 16 carries for 75 yards as well as 6 catches for 27 yards, a performance that was good for 18.2 fantasy points.

This coming Thursday will be very interesting with the potential of our top 3 backs all not playing. Hopefully Rodgers will want to win this week.

  1. The defense really needs to step up against the run. I feel our pass defense is good but we need a rush defense to get or defense out of the conversation of a bad defense and into an average defense. Which i think is all we need to be a superbowl contender.

  2. They always say defense wins championships but it goes both ways. I think that game was a wake up call for them in that they need to start getting other players prepared for action as well. Injuries happen so that’s why these guys need to start stepping up.
