Week 10 Recap: The Fantasy Suites

The show begins with Matt calling out his father for cheating on his mother and for not being there for him. His dad didn’t like to hear the truth at all. Honestly this part was super serious and sad. Matt is very emotional, and breaks down about it, but in the end his dad apologized, and they finally can have a fresh start to their relationship.

THE BACHELOR – “2509” – It’s time for fantasy suites! Matt and his three remaining women each enjoy romantic and perfectly tailored one-on-one dates, all of which lead to the big question: Are they ready to spend the night together? But before he can truly consider moving forward in a relationship, Matt must first address the one that has previously held him back. Will an honest conversation be enough to guide him on his quest to find love? Find out on “The Bachelor,” airing MONDAY, MARCH 8 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. The first date is Michelle! Their date came to a strange start with butter, oatmeal, and milk... oh my. Not going to lie I cringed a lot while they were rubbing butter on each other. But then, further into the night the conversation was more serious and they talked deeply about her parents and their successful marriage. They both voice their opinions on wanting a marriage like her parents, and Matt’s void of that experience in his life. In the end of the night they take things to the fantasy suite, and things definitely get heated to say the least. And after seeing them in the morning, you can tell they had a great night.

Moving on, the second date was camping with Bri. While, she was having fun camping, not really, they moved on to a more romantic dinner date. It was easy to see the closeness Matt felt to Bri throughout the night, especially with him opening up and telling her about his dad. Bri also opens up and appreciates Matt for understanding her. Just like Michelle, they end up spending the night together, having a great night.

Then, it cuts to Rachel breaking down about their relationship and comparing it to others. So Matt comes in and has a one-on-one close talk with her during their date. Matt reassured her a lot over their date, and continued to throughout the night. Rachel communicated that she needs to get better at communicating, and they seemed to work it out at the dinner date. Fireworks while they were kissing and all.

The anticipation for the rose ceremony was real. I feel like all of them were confident going in, and I honestly had no idea who he was going to send home. At the end of the night, Matt sent home Bri. I was devastated to say the least, because I thought for sure Bri was going to the end with Matt. But all good things come to an end, and sadly Bri left.

All I have to say is it better be Michelle in the end. I honestly don’t think Rachel and Matt have as strong of a relationship as Michelle and Matt do.

Stay tuned and get excited for the last episode of the season! I just know it’s going to be a good one.

Hi Brooke! When I used to watch the Bachelorette, I felt like the fantasy suite nights were the most telling for who would end up together in the end. Obviously, at that point, it is down to the last three so it’s pretty easy to guess but I thought it was interesting that Matt sent home the girl you thought he would end up with. Hopefully, he ends up with Michelle if his connection with Rachel isn’t great. I can’t wait to read the conclusion on your blog. Great post!

I have’t watched much of this season, but I have seen the last couple episodes. I know during the fantasy suite week the women can’t stand the guy being with another girl. It just kills them, as it should. This was a really good article to read for me to understand what is going on.

    Hi Brooke!

The main thing I noticed from this episode was how lackluster the dates were. Remember at the beginning of the season when Sarah had a date with a whole airplane? Theres a very big difference between that and camping. It’s like the producers used all of their budget at the beginning of the season and ran out of money for fantasy suites – the biggest freakin week! I can’t wait to read your recap about last nights episode. Wasn’t Matt sitting there silent for like five minutes so awkward!

Great blog post! Have a great week! 🙂

Hi Brooke! This is my first time reading your blog. I watch the bachelor as well. There is a lot of thing Matt does throughout the season that makes me cringe too. It has been a weird season and can’t wait to hear what you have to say about the final episode.

Hi Brooke. I loved reading your blog about the bachelor. My roomates always watch it and I never end up following through with the seasons. Reading this blog that has been so late in the season intrigues me to start watching again.
