In the second installment of The Dark Artifices, Lord of Shadows, Emma discovers that her love for Julian is not only against the rules, but can result in destruction for them both. Their only hope is the Black Volume of the Dead, a very powerful spell book that everyone wants. The Unseelie King wants the spell book so bad that he has decided to murder the entire Blackthorne family, including Emma. However, the Downworld community (vampires, werewolf’s, fairies, etc.), have turned against the Clave, the Shadowhunter government, a new tension arrives.

Once again, Cassandra Clare has taken up a whole new blog post. I really cannot explain why I love her books so much. The story is just gripping; always wanting more. Her writing just grips you in until it’s 3 in the morning, crying yourself to sleep because of how amazing the story was. I just really love her books and I cannot wait until the final book comes out in December.
