The full event run time is from Thursday, March 21, at 10:00AM EDT until Tuesday, April 2, at 10:00AM EDT. I stated a couple of things to expect the last time I talked about this, but as of today, we got a full confirmation on what to expect this upcoming festival. Lets start with the main rewards for participating in the festival, the Jester’s Festival Stupendous Box. The first time you complete the daily quest for each Jester, each day, in each faction territory, you will receive a “Stupendous Box” instead…

Elsweyr Open IRL Testing!
Today we have two bits of information, one small bit of info, and one big bit of info. First up we have awesome hand made gear of the Dragonbone armor style. The level of detail on this handmade armor set is amazing. It looks straight out of the Elder Scrolls games themselves. The set was made by “Lightning Cosplay.” Lightning Cosplay have made numerous ESO cosplay in the past. They’ve also made several other breathe taking cosplay from other triple A game titles, such as Darksiders, The Witcher, Diablo, World Of Warcraft, etc. They also have a YouTube channel you can check out linked on their site. This cosplay set will be…

Events!
ESO, like many other MMO’s, has limited time events which players can take advantage of already existing content. During these events certain expansions and items go on sale for extremely cheap prices. Most of these event run times are based off of real world holiday seasons or anniversaries of previously added expansions. As stated in my last post, the upcoming event is known as the “Jester’s Festival,” which is ESO’s equivalent to April Fools. The currently running event is the “Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood Celebration.” “The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event starts Thursday, March 7, at 10:00AM EST and runs until Monday, March 18, at 10:00AM EDT.” During this event players…

Crown Store Showcase, March 2019
Why do people play MMO’s? Beginner players will tell you its to hang out with friends online. Average players will tell you its to play an expansive game with a long interesting plot and cool mechanics. A veteran player would agree with those things as important, but not the most important. Veterans would say the most important thing in MMO’s is….. Fashion! Sure you can grind with friends and level up with butt ugly and mismatching gear, but wheres the fun in that? With fashion you can do said leveling with friends and look good while you die to that horde of spiders you’ve been farming. ESO takes fashion to…

Wrathstone Specials
With the release of Wrathstone comes with a multitude of guides and new builds. The ESO team collects these guides and creates the ultimate collection of said guides on their site. And with that information, comes info overload. Lets see what I can sift from this overload. “Dottz Gaming – Wrathstone Zone Guide and Guild Trader Improvements” This is a video guide where Dottz Gaming explains what I explained in my previous post, about quality of life changes added in Update 21. The video dives into a little further into those changes and their exact specifics. “MMO Bits – Elinhir Private Arena House Preview and Guide” MMO Bits article…

Update 21, Whats new?
With the release of Wrathstone comes the 21st free update. And lots of really cool stuffs been implemented. A new Battleground: Eld Angvar Updated PvP rewards The Zone Guide A Guild Trader UI update First up is Eld Angvar. Eld Angvar is a battleground map that takes place in a Ayleid world between realms. This map breaks form from traditional battleground maps. The map implements multiple teleportation gates that are spread out among multiple smaller battlefields. This creates a much more randomized and dispersed battle-zone. Battlegrounds is a nice balance change from the massive PvP that ESO offered traditionally. Before you had to queue up to join a separate game server,…

The Khajiit
In light of the fact that the next chapter of ESO is Elsweyr, I would like to explain a little bit about its inhabitants, the “Khajiit.” The Khajiit are a race of felines that are born into different forms depending on what point their lunar cycle is currently in. Their lunar cycle is based off of two moons, Secunda and Masser. The moons are also know and Jone and Jode in Aldmeri lore. The most common type of the Khajiit seen in the games is the “Suthay-raht.” The Suthay-raht are bipedal Khajiit that the players usually play as in the Elder scrolls series. A similar type of Khajiit is the…

Wrathstone – Frostvault
Wrathstone is a Dungeon DLC expansion for ESO. The DLC contains two dungeons Frostvault and Depths of Malatar. They both contribute to the “Season of the Dragon” story line and are the prologues to the Elsweyr chapter expansion. Frostvault is the second of the two in chronological order of the story. Frostvault takes place in Eastmarch, a province of Skyrim. A Dwarven vault has been discovered in a thawing glacier. A Redgaurd scholar Tharayya, asks for your assistance in clearing out the monsters that have lived inside the now awakened ruins. The ruins are infested with goblins and still active Dwarven defenses and traps. Among these defenses are five challenge bosses each with…

Master of Lore is no more.
On February 6th, 2019 ZeniMax’s ESO Lore Master, Lawrence Schick, has stepped down from his position. The Lore Master is the title given to the lead lore writer and manipulator of the elder scrolls online series. Schick stepped down from the position due to “family reasons.” He never specified the exact reasons, be it positive or negative. The ESO team asked him to write about his time at ESO and his time working on the lore in a farewell letter. Instead he decided to discuss how the players add to and affected the lore of ESO. Here’s a small excerpt from his farewell letter. “Tamriel is a world where all…
