Update 21, Whats new?
With the release of Wrathstone comes the 21st free update. And lots of really cool stuffs been implemented.
- A new Battleground: Eld Angvar
- Updated PvP rewards
- The Zone Guide
- A Guild Trader UI update
First up is Eld Angvar. Eld Angvar is a battleground map that takes place in a Ayleid world between realms. This map breaks form from traditional battleground maps. The map implements multiple teleportation gates that are spread out among multiple smaller battlefields. This creates a much more randomized and dispersed battle-zone. Battlegrounds is a nice balance change from the massive PvP that ESO offered traditionally. Before you had to queue up to join a separate game server, and could only fight along side people of your faction, against other factions in Cyrodiil. But with Battlegrounds, players can grab a small group of friends, regardless of factions, and fight for sweet rewards. Speaking of which, there are new PvP rewards.
As seen above, several new rewards have been added, and they are looking good. Players can now get a Elinhir Arena Lion as a pet by completing conquest missions and collecting 40 Arena Gladiator’s Proofs. Players can also receive outfit styles for the Pit Demon, Storm Lord, and Firedrake weapons by competing in the three different Battlegrounds modes.
Zone guides have also been added, whenever a player enters a new zone they can now view what they have and haven’t seen or done. As a veteran player I have spent many hours wishing for this to be implemented. It makes the game a lot easier to play without missing anything essential. And finally, the U.I for guild stores has been overhauled. Players can now type in the exact things they are looking to buy, without having to scan for hours in a list of over a thousand items in each category. Again, as a veteran player and master craftsman, I’ve been waiting since beta for a feature like this. For more information check out the official article below.
