Wrathstone – Frostvault

Wrathstone is a Dungeon DLC expansion for ESO. The DLC contains two dungeons Frostvault and Depths of Malatar. They both contribute to the “Season of the Dragon” story line and are the prologues to the Elsweyr chapter expansion. Frostvault is the second of the two in chronological order of the story.

Frostvault takes place in Eastmarch, a province of Skyrim. A Dwarven vault has been discovered in a thawing glacier. A Redgaurd scholar Tharayya, asks for your assistance in clearing out the monsters that have lived inside the now awakened ruins. The ruins are infested with goblins and still active Dwarven defenses and traps. Among these defenses are five challenge bosses each with there own combat quirks and mechanics. Some of the mechanics require players to use the environment around them to defend themselves or cause damage to the bosses.  The main boss is known as the Stonekeeper. Stonekeeper, as a boss fight has added some new mechanics to the usual ESO dungeon boss. It has a huge range of powerful AOE attacks, but it also has a fight faze called “Extermination Protocol.” This Extermination Protocol is a charged up move that, if not stopped, wipes out the entire group in one shot. To prevent the Extermination Protocol the four players must use “Skeevatons,” Dwarven RC mice, to navigate through the Stonekeeper’s charging body and disable the Extermination Protocol. Its not that easy though, the Stonekeeper’s insides are a huge maze, and players are under a strict time constraint before the Extermination Protocol takes effect. Depending of difficulty selected when you beat the dungeon, you can receive rare armor drops, such as  a Stonekeeper monster mask. You will also receive the Icebound Dwemer Spider pet, if you beat the dungeon on veteran difficulty. Wrathstone is expected to launch on February 25 for PC/Mac and March 12 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Here is the link to the full article.
