Letter to my 18 Year Old Self

Dear 18 year old Bella,

You are getting ready to graduate and head into the unknown world of college which means the first big step to finding independence and where you belong in the world. You will be met with a lot of struggle and stress to reach your goals in your personal and academic life as you climb the ladder towards obtaining your degree. For instance, you will go through heartbreak with the guy you built your life around since you were 14 years old, but you will find true love soon after. He will love you beyond measure and he will give you everything you have ever wanted by putting you first and making you the happiest girl in the world each day. You will learn what a team oriented loving relationship is like. You will join extracurriculars such as a sorority and become a 4 year student athlete in golf, meeting lifelong friends along the way. Your knowledge will grow every day, in and out of your classes. You will have a plethora of stressed out late nights, studying and rushing to meet class time deadlines. You will have many runs to Chipotle and Culver’s for your afternoon cravings and attempting to be a good cook and failing but never giving up. You will build connections and gain resources along with 2 internships leading up to your future career, which is still undecided . You will live in three different apartments all three years after you gain that dorm life experience including making appearances in the dining halls when the microwave mac&cheese doesn’t fill you up and going in those dreadful showers. The most exciting news is you will graduate in 3 and a half years with a major Public Relations and minor in Advertising which you never thought would happen so soon after failing math class twice and taking a few minimal credit semesters, but hey you never know….

You future is looking so bright!

Remember when it seems like your world is crumbling, just keep going. There is always light at the end of the tunnel when all seems dark and scary! Never let anyone dull your sparkle!
