A Glimpse of the Future: 2008-2012 IT Strategic Plan

We invite you to take a glimpse into the future of technology at UW-Whitewater. During 2008, iCIT worked with representatives from across campus to develop the 2008-2012 Information Technology Strategic Plan (ITSP). The final plan includes input from faculty, staff, students, and administrators from across campus, and will provide strategic direction to guide campus priorities in information technology planning, funding and deployment for the next several years.  We invite you to visit the ITSP website (http://www.uww.edu/icit/itsp) to review the plan, and then please take a few moments to complete the ITSP Survey to give us your input.

Personnel Update

Tom Gillespie has accepted a position as an Instructional Technologist at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. His last day with iCIT will be December 23, 2008. Please join us in wishing Tom well in this new endeavor and thanking him for his excellent work in support of Instructional Technology at UW-W.

Personnel Update

Ben Villanueva has accepted a position in Texas with Dell.  His last day with iCIT will be October 24.  Please join us in wishing Ben well in this new endeavor and thanking him for his many contributions to iCIT and campus technology initiatives.  Specifically, we would like to recognize Ben for his work with the deployment of a campus-wide printing solution, transitioning traditional labs to contemporary project-oriented collaborative environments and unifying software licenses among departmental and General Access Labs.

Open Position for Learning Technology Center Coordinator

iCIT is now recruiting for a Learning Technology Center Coordinator. This position, in partnership with the Director of Instructional Technology Services and academic leadership, plans and coordinates direction and development of instructional technology, distance education, and web-based learning on the UW-Whitewater campus.  It enables adoption of technology for delivery of instruction by providing opportunities for experimentation, training, consultation and production of materials for UW-Whitewater faculty and instructional staff.  More information about the position and application process is available online at http://www.uww.edu/employment/jobs/Coordinator_of_Learn.html.
