My favorite album this year award goes to “Love Stuff” by Elle King simply because I love her voice on each track on the album. I’m fortunate enough to get to see her in Madison, WI next month.

“Ex’s & Oh’s” is my favorite song off the entire album because of its spunk and catchy lyrics. I love listening to the song and singing the song at the top of my lungs. “Ex’s and Oh’s they haunt me, like ghosts they want me to make em all, they won’t let go.” King sings.

My second favorite song is “Under the Influence” because I can hear Elle’s voice to full capacity throughout the song and it is catchy. Her voice sounds cautious throughout the song as if she is signing about a poor decision she made.

Another stand out on the album is “Kocaine Karolina” this song introduces the listener to an acoustic side of King that only appears on this song itself. It is much slower than the first few songs and I love it because it reminds me of going to a concert and seeing her play the guitar.

“America’s Sweetheart” is the song that I can relate to the most out of all of the tracks because it defines what I like which is to laugh and listen to rock and roll. “America’s Sweetheart” is the song I like to listen to when I wake up to get myself ready for the day and to remind myself of who I am.

Of course, I adore all the songs on this album, the above tracks were just highlights from this gem. I highly encourage anyone to check out this album if you haven’t already because it is for sure worth a listen. Despite the fact that “Love Stuff” was released in February of this year, it is still popular and vibrant as the day it was released.
