We’ve all been there, it’s the middle of the semester, spring is right over the hill, and BAM! You get taken down by a cold or the flu. That is actually the worst, because once the warmer weather starts, everyone wants to be out enjoying it, which is hard when you have a sore throat and stuffy nose.
But, fear not! There are a few at home things you can try to give yourself some relief from the woes of constant tissues and cough drops.
To help relieve a scratchy painful throat, gargling with a teaspoon of salt mixed with a glass of warm water can help. Not only does the warm water soothe the throat but it can help to flush out any bacteria and loosen the mucus that sits and makes your throat feel sore. Continue reading
