Let’s look at fun, free and exciting things to do in Wisconsin!
Wisconsin has so much more to offer than just beer, cheese and brats. Let’s start in my hometown of Watertown, WI. They are home to the first kindergarten located on the grounds of an octagon shaped house.
“The Octagon House was one of the largest homes built prior to the Civil War in Wisconsin. The solid brick, five-story mansion was built with early forms of central heating, running water, and ventilating systems. A magnificent four-story central cantilevered spiral staircase rises four stories from the first floor to the cupola or “tower room” where one can enjoy sweeping vistas of the city and surrounding countryside.”

One of my favorite places to go is Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI. They intertwine art and landscaping to create this tranquil space for visitors. I could spend all day just sitting and relaxing in gardens. This place also makes for a great photoshoot destination. This place will not disappoint! Head on over to http://www.olbrich.org/ to check them out!
There are a bunch of free or little cost museums across Wisconsin! The Chazen Museum of Art, The Wisconsin Automotive Museum, and the National Mustard Museum just to name a few.
Additionally, there are plenty of public parks to visit and explore in every city! You just have to do a little research to figure out which park will be best for you.
