Week 13 Summary- Packers vs. Giants

The Packers were looking to bounce back after a tough loss against the 49ers a week ago and they did just that. After a pretty handily defeat at the hands of the 49ers, the Packers came back this last week and handed the Giants a loss. The Packers started the game on defense and made a quick stop and got the ball for the first time in the game. Aaron Rodgers started the game out at a fast pace and the Packers drove down the field and scored quite quickly, giving the Packers the early 7-0 lead over the Giants. The Giants did answer back pretty quickly with a touchdown pass from rookie quarterback Daniel Jones making the score 7-7. Aaron Rodgers answered back immediately with a touchdown pass to young wide receiver Allen Lazard, making the score 14-7 Green Bay. At the start of the second quarter Packers cornerback Kevin King intercepted a pass from Daniel Jones on 3rd and 10, giving the Packers great field position heading into the next drive. The Packers took advantage and kicker Mason Crosby made a 47-yard field goal to make the score 17-7 Green Bay. After that, the Giants made a long drive down the field that ended in a field goal as well making the score 17-10 Green Bay. After that, nothing else happened in the 1st half sending us into halftime with the Packers receiving the second half kick off.

The Packers started with the ball in the second half and didn’t make anything of it and ended up punting the ball back to the Giants. The Giants had one big play on the drive that put them in field goal range and they made it, making the score 17-13 Packers on top. The Packers had a long sustained drive following the field goal from the Giants and Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown pass to star receiver Davante Adams for his second touchdown reception of the game making the score 24-13 Packers. Following this Packers touchdown the Packers got another takeaway courtesy of rookie safety Darnell Savage setting Aaron Rodgers with good field position. The Packers took advantage very quickly on the next drive with a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to veteran tight end Mercedes Lewis making the score 31-13 Packers. The score would stay the same for the rest of the game and the Packers would improve to 9-3 on the season and in the lead in the NFC North. Come back Saturday for a game preview for week 14. Week 13 Preview- Packers vs. Giants

The Packers are coming off a tough loss in week 12 against the current 1-seed in the NFC in the 49ers but they look to bounce back against a Giants team that has a rookie quarterback and has had a rough year. The Packers sit at 8-3, while the Giants sit at 2-9. Even though the Packers are traveling to New York for this game, they are still heavily favored to be the victors. The Giants have been struggling with injuries the whole year and it won’t stop this week as tight end Evan Engram and wide receiver Golden Tate will not be participating in this one, which will make it hard for rookie quarterback Daniel Jones to find targets for the passing game. The Giants will likely rely heavily on star running back Saquon Barkley, who has had a bit of an off year compared to last season. Even though the Packers are on the road for this game they are still favored to win by a 6.5 point margin. A let down this week could be disastrous for the Packers season as a whole. The Packers injury report looks promising as many of the players listed as questionable are scheduled to play in this game. Let’s hope for a better week this week! See you Wednesday for the summary!
