Understanding Audiences

first step in creating an ambassador program is research.  You can collect data to figure out your most engaged members’ demographics. Since KFC wants to launch a program for Gen Z, they will need to do their research on other successful programs that were targeted towards Gen Z. They can start figuring out what voice they share with that community.  Step two is having exclusivity.  The group should meet certain criteria and requirements to be able to participate. We don’t just want to let anybody in; we need people who are passionate and also committed. Maybe they could offer tiered rewards, and after a certain number of points or visits, the customer will reach the tier needed to join this program. The third step is to offer perks and connections to the brand directly. I think they should create an exclusive rewards program for the ambassadors that is more valuable than their normal rewards. Giving them the power to create and share content allows ambassadors to have an opportunity to share their content with their networks. Starting small and growing bigger allows the program to learnand experience with multiple people first, to get a grasp on what works best before expanding into a larger group of people. It would be beneficial for this program to focus on a lifestyle rather than a product because not everyone lives the same lifestyle. This allows the company to build its product.

My suggestion for the local bakery is to target the Gen Z audience/young adults. Personally, I feel like young adults are quick to see food and decide to go and try it, especially from a bakery. Another suggestion I have is to research your competitors in the area and maybe offer a new trending food item that is not offered anywhere else in the area. From here, I think you could expand into targeting adults.
