SWOT analysis stands for; Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It is the tradition part of the communication and marketing campaign process and is essential to the social media strategic plan. It is used to examine and explore problems and solutions and it can help save a community that is struggling and going downhill.
Strengths – What is working well
Strengths often are identified by what the company is doing well. You examine their strong side and what content is performing higher than most, along with internal strengths.
Weaknesses – What is not working well, gaps and constraints
Weaknesses are identified as challenges or hindering aspects to the organization causing them to fall onto the struggling side of things. Identifying these weaknesses will only help to make sure things improve.
Opportunities – Where growth is possible
Opportunities are a set of ideas that can cultivate new ideas and increase an audience. Taking advantage of opportunities that are at hand, can increase your audience and engagement.
Threats – External risks and pressures
Threats are an external factor that are caused by negative events such as political, regulatory or environmental threats that may come in the way.

Strategic implication is the fifth component of a SWOT analysis. It is a short one or two sentence synopsis of the information you have gathered throughout the analysis.
