Sarell Martin is a guy who’s got it all figured out. In his last year here at UW-Whitewater he has been the head of a unique study group who looks to give back to all students.
“Everyone is welcome. Study N Style has been started so people who don’t usually come to the library to study will soon start, the insensitive is the free haircuts,” Sarell said.
There was a positive turnout as students of all majors came out to get the extra studying in.
Located in the lower classroom of Anderson Library, Study N Style was able to fit three barbers, a snack bar, rock painting, and a quiet study area all in one space.
Senior Pontian Adogamhe sat quietly in one corner of the lab. He seemed to be enjoying his personal space as he worked in silence.
“I enjoy coming down here to work. I like the atmosphere, and it’s free food! I couldn’t resist,” Pontian said.
Study group sessions are common at all schools but ones with barbershops are rare. The next Study N Style cutting session is on October 26, at 7:00 p.m.
