NBA 75th Anniversary Season

For the 2021-22 season, the NBA will celebrate its 75th anniversary and will come out with an upcoming ranking of the best 75 players of all time. Many of them are featured in the NBA’s newest promo “NBA Lane” starring Micheal B. Jordan.

This promotion does a fantastic job of covering the diversity and inclusion that the NBA game brings to people everywhere in the world. With Micheal B. Jordan, who has been involved with the NBA giving back to the community for years now, brings such a following and credibility to any role he is put into. Jordan is a stellar and talented actor who is able to bring to life any movie or commercial. 

With Jordan driving the bus and guiding the children on an imaginary journey through the past 75 years of the history of the NBA. The NBA is trying to grow the game with more younger kids getting involved in the sport. They are able to shine the spotlight on the legendary players and their journey to inspire the ensuing generations. 

Although the video is light-hearted and fun, it has a scene where Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is driving by a mural painting of Kobe Bryant. He gives a salute as Micheal B.Jordan says “some things are bigger than basketball.” This gives the audience a time to reflect and be inspired moving forward by Bryant’s legacy.    

The legends and famous players in this video is just one aspect that makes this promo arguably one of the best the NBA has ever done. Not only is this one of the best basketball ads, it’s in consideration for one of the best in all of sports. The NBA and their marketing efforts on this celebration was a slam dunk.
