After 15 weeks of the college football season the field is set. As always throughout the season we saw many upsets, heartwarming stories, and jaw dropping plays. When all was said and done the CFP committee announced the four teams left playing for the National Title. Three undefeated teams ranked first through third in this order, LSU, Ohio State, and Clemson. One loss Oklahoma rounds out the final spot.
LSU behind Heisman winner Joe Burrow jumped Ohio State in the last week after the conference championship games. The tigers beat Georgia handily, leaving viewers excited to see how they’ll play against the best of the best. The tigers will play Oklahoma on Saturday December 28 in the Peach Bowl.
Ohio State and Clemson will make up the other semifinal later that day in the Fiesta Bowl. Though this is the two vs three matchup, many believe this may be the best game we get in the playoffs, as these are the two most complete teams in the running. Explosive offenses and stingy defenses for both teams. The game may come down to the end and depend on coaches having a good game plan.
The winner of the two semifinals will play in the National Championship two weeks later on January 13.
