5 Easy Things To Track In Your Planner

IMG_4952

Now that you have aquired a beautiful planner, what should you do with it? Or maybe you have been using planners for a long time, but find yourself in a rut of not using it as you’d like.

Here are 5 main predictable things I feel that planners are very useful to track.

1. Events

This is pretty self explanatory, but no one likes when your forget their birthday or anniversary. Be sure you don’t miss the company socials either– become the life of the party not the one who doesn’t show up.

2. Deadlines

I cannot stress enough how keeping deadlines in a planner has helped me, especially as a student. We all lead crazy and hectic lives and sometimes the little things get forgotten in the shuffle. By putting these in your monthly and weekly views you will never miss a deadline again. Big projects, homework assignments, important paperwork — you’ll be on top of it all.

3. Water/ Meals

8 glass of water a day? Yeah, most of us NEVER complete that. Not only will tracking water lead a healthy lifestyle because you will feel better when you drink the proper amount, it also is something fun to cross off the everyday to-do list.

Meals are also great to track to either preplan groceries/ budgets, but also to see what you are eating in the course of a week.

4. Work/Kid(s) Schedules

Trying to keep track of a ever changing work schedule? Or a kid who is in school and three extra curricular activities? Then keeping it all in a planner is perfect for you. Busy schedules lend themselves to conflicts once in a while. If you plan it all out, you will know ahead of time and can arrange something before it becomes a problem. And no one likes the person who is late.

5. Appointments

Last, but not least — appointments. With crazy schedules we sometimes forget that we made a dentist or doctor’s appointment three months ago and somehow it’s next Wednesday at 11:30 AM. Planners are great for tracking the non-daily activities because they remind you of what to expect for the day that’s different from the rest.

With these 5 things in mind, I hope your planning can become more streamlined and helpful in your everyday life!
