Getting to Know: Reservations
As mentioned in last week blog, reservations have become a key part of how TCM runs their business. Ensuring that they will have space at the bar to accommodate you when you wish to come in can be incredibly important, especially on a weekend. On Saturdays, TCM typically has a full bar, with limited space for walk-ins. Therefore, reservations are crucial if you want to come in and pour. During the weekdays, things are a little slower. Depending on the day, there is space for people to simply walk in and have space at the bar to pour.
The process of making reservations is quite easy! Simply start by calling the shop at (262) 203-5557 and an employee will gladly help you along the way. First, you should know what day you are interested in making a reservation for, and how many people you plan to bring along with you. They will then assist you in choosing a time that best works for both you, and the store to come in and pour. An employee will take your name, number of people you bring, a contact phone number, and which date and time you choose. I always recommend trying to call at least a week in advance in order to make a reservation, but if you know that you will be bringing a large party, such as a bachelorette party, calling a few weeks to a month in advance is beneficial as well.
There are a lot of frequently asked questions that come along with making reservations that I hope to answer for you here.
- How long is my reservation for? How long does the process take?
- This question has a two-tiered answer. Your reservation is for an hour at the bar. This means that if your reservation is at 12, you have until 1 to completely go through the process, which is plenty of time. While your reservation is for an hour, if you make a candle, it stays at the shop for an additional 90 minutes after you pour. You do not need to stay for that additional 90 minutes, but you are allowed to leave and come back later o pick up your finished products. Therefore, please keep this in mind when scheduling your reservation so that it works best for you.
- How many people can I bring?
- Our total bar can accommodate 30 people. Therefore, that is the max amount of people we can accommodate at one time. Party sizes can range anywhere between 2-30 people, but we will have to ensure we are properly staffed in order to help larger parties.
- Do you sell drinks, or should I bring my own?
- We do sell beverages! We have beer, wine, seltzers, mimosas, sodas, and water that you can drink while you pour. No, you cannot bring your own drinks. It is actually illegal in Wisconsin to bring in your own alcohol to a business.
- Can I make multiple products?
- Yes! You can make multiple products when in our shop. As long as you can make all of your products within the hour time frame, you can make as many as you would like. A side note: everything in the store is buy three, get the fourth free, which you can mix and match any products in the store.
- Do you guys have a parking lot?
We do have a small parking lot, which is free for our customers. I recommend checking for parking here first, before looking for parking along the busy streets of Lake Geneva. Parking downtown can be hard, so please consider this when planning your arrival for your reservation.

Walk in appointments for my job are an absolute nightmare. Customers will claim they either had a reservation or they didn’t think they needed to make one. Making it as clear as possible and as easy as possible eliminates a lot of headaches all around.
