When Jacob’s grandfather dies, Jacob is able to find Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children. Upon this discovery, he realizes that his grandfather was one of these children. He finds them on a mysterious island that have been quarantined. He realizes that they could be dangerous, but that they are still alive.

I really wanted to like this book. I really did. I got about half way through this book before I realized how bored I was, and I couldn’t continue. This book series is pretty popular and the first book was made into a movie. Upon seeing the trailer for the movie several times, I decided to give this book a try. I really didn’t like it. It was mostly the reading that was incredibly slow for me. I would be more than interested into giving this book another try and maybe I’ll learn to like it.
