Necro Lore
ESO posted a small article about the history of Necromancy throughout Tamriel. They also explain how necromancy works. Necromancers have the power to manipulate the animus, or the soul, of a living or previously living thing. “The Mages Guild identifies necromancy as its own distinct school of magic, but some Necromancers say it’s just an offshoot of mysticism, conjuration, and enchantment—no more dangerous than fireballs and scrying spells.”-ESO. While in the academic standing of magic as a norm, Necromancy stands out as it manipulates the soul directly. Majority of cultures see this manipulation of the soul as a crime against nature and as inherently evil. The power to manipulate or modify…

Pushing The Khajiit Hard!
ESO has been pushing their new Elsweyr chapter expansion hard in both the physical sense and the promotional sense. 95 percent of their posts have been revolving around the expansion for the past three months. This is fair as their main source of income is from cosmetic purchases and in game expansion costs, the base game is free to play with a one time only payment of buying the game. And the hype train is reaching maximum velocity. ESO recently posted an article talking about the Khajiit in Elsweyr and what you can expect from the natives of Elsweyr. I posted a bit of Khajiit lore awhile back that covered…

Elsweyr PTS is Live!
Yo it’s live! The PTS, Public Test Server, is now up and running with the new Elsweyr expansion! The public test server also is running Update 22 game update and patch. Only PC/MAC players can access the PTS. “If you’ve tested the game previously, either for the Morrowind or Summerset Chapter, you can get into this new test from the ESO launcher with no invite required. Just enable “Show Public Test Environment” from your launcher settings. If you haven’t tested a Chapter for us before, but have played ESO this last year, you’ll receive (or have already received!) an email invite with the details. Because this is such a large test, invites will be sent out…

Events!
ESO, like many other MMO’s, has limited time events which players can take advantage of already existing content. During these events certain expansions and items go on sale for extremely cheap prices. Most of these event run times are based off of real world holiday seasons or anniversaries of previously added expansions. As stated in my last post, the upcoming event is known as the “Jester’s Festival,” which is ESO’s equivalent to April Fools. The currently running event is the “Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood Celebration.” “The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event starts Thursday, March 7, at 10:00AM EST and runs until Monday, March 18, at 10:00AM EDT.” During this event players…

Wrathstone Specials
With the release of Wrathstone comes with a multitude of guides and new builds. The ESO team collects these guides and creates the ultimate collection of said guides on their site. And with that information, comes info overload. Lets see what I can sift from this overload. “Dottz Gaming – Wrathstone Zone Guide and Guild Trader Improvements” This is a video guide where Dottz Gaming explains what I explained in my previous post, about quality of life changes added in Update 21. The video dives into a little further into those changes and their exact specifics. “MMO Bits – Elinhir Private Arena House Preview and Guide” MMO Bits article…

Wrathstone – Frostvault
Wrathstone is a Dungeon DLC expansion for ESO. The DLC contains two dungeons Frostvault and Depths of Malatar. They both contribute to the “Season of the Dragon” story line and are the prologues to the Elsweyr chapter expansion. Frostvault is the second of the two in chronological order of the story. Frostvault takes place in Eastmarch, a province of Skyrim. A Dwarven vault has been discovered in a thawing glacier. A Redgaurd scholar Tharayya, asks for your assistance in clearing out the monsters that have lived inside the now awakened ruins. The ruins are infested with goblins and still active Dwarven defenses and traps. Among these defenses are five challenge bosses each with…
