A Small Look…
On February 6, 2019 Bethesda Softworks UK released a small developer trailer called: “The Elder Scrolls Online – Elsweyr: Developer Deep Dive.” The trailer shows off game footage of what the Elsweyr expansion is going to look like. The trailer also explains what the Year, or Season of the Dragon’s first half entails. The developers really try to hype up the return of dragons, seeing how they were the main selling point of Skyrim. They hope to bring players back and draw in non-ESO players who loved Skyrim. The developers explain they want to expand the lore and myths around the Khajiit people, who are the main inhabitants of Elsweyr. The developers use real world cultures and locations to build there zones. They used North Africa, West Africa, and Yemen as inspiration for Elsweyr’s environment. The chapter expansion releases for all platforms on June 4th, except for PC. PC versions, and play-ability, will become available on May 20th, since it’s a MMO originally designed on PC. If you pre-order now you’ll receive a new expansion only mount, a Noble Clan Chief costume, a Dragon Imp non-combat pet, a Baandari Pedlar crate, and Elsweyr Treasure Maps. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg. If you pre-order The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Collector’s Edition, you’ll get full access to the last two chapter expansions Morrowind and Summerset. You’ll also receive the Senche-raht mount, Ashen Scar Jerboa pet, Archaic Lore Tablets memento, Khajiiti Culture Emote Pack, and Dragonbone Outfit Style as in game items if you get The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Collector’s Edition.
