Goodbye, See Ya Around
This has been an interesting assignment for me. I was tasked with creating a blog and posting weekly content on a subject I enjoy. I had fun sharing information with everyone and helping sum up long amounts of repetitive information. I enjoyed writing this blog very much and it helped my love for Elder Scrolls Online grow even stronger. This game, personally, has the highest potential of any MMO I have ever scene. Necro Lore
ESO posted a small article about the history of Necromancy throughout Tamriel. They also explain how necromancy works. Necromancers have the power to manipulate the animus, or the soul, of a living or previously living thing. “The Mages Guild identifies necromancy as its own distinct school of magic, but some Necromancers say it’s just an offshoot of mysticism, conjuration, and enchantment—no more dangerous than fireballs and scrying spells.”-ESO. While in the academic standing of magic as a norm, Necromancy stands out as it manipulates the soul directly. Pushing The Khajiit Hard!
ESO has been pushing their new Elsweyr chapter expansion hard in both the physical sense and the promotional sense. 95 percent of their posts have been revolving around the expansion for the past three months. This is fair as their main source of income is from cosmetic purchases and in game expansion costs, the base game is free to play with a one time only payment of buying the game. Elsweyr PTS is Live!
Yo it’s live! The PTS, Public Test Server, is now up and running with the new Elsweyr expansion! The public test server also is running Update 22 game update and patch. Only PC/MAC players can access the PTS. “If you’ve tested the game previously, either for the Morrowind or Summerset Chapter, you can get into this new test from the ESO launcher with no invite required. Just enable “Show Public Test Environment” from your launcher settings. If you haven’t tested a Chapter for us before, but have played ESO this last year, you’ll receive (or have already received!) an email invite with the details. I’m back from break, and there was a lot I missed during my time away. First thing to cover is the 25th anniversary of the Elder Scrolls series. The series has been going strong since 1994, in an age where game companies are constantly being bought out or going under, this is a huge achievement. Congrats to Elder Scrolls and the Elder Scrolls teams, keep up the awesome work. Ok, second on the chopping block is the beginning of the second part of the Season of the Dragon. Elsweyr Open IRL Testing!
Today we have two bits of information, one small bit of info, and one big bit of info. First up we have awesome hand made gear of the Dragonbone armor style. The level of detail on this handmade armor set is amazing. It looks straight out of the Elder Scrolls games themselves. The set was made by “Lightning Cosplay.” Lightning Cosplay have made numerous ESO cosplay in the past. The Khajiit
In light of the fact that the next chapter of ESO is Elsweyr, I would like to explain a little bit about its inhabitants, the “Khajiit.” The Khajiit are a race of felines that are born into different forms depending on what point their lunar cycle is currently in. Their lunar cycle is based off of two moons, Secunda and Masser. The moons are also know and Jone and Jode in Aldmeri lore. The most common type of the Khajiit seen in the games is the “Suthay-raht.” The Suthay-raht are bipedal Khajiit that the players usually play as in the Elder scrolls series. A Small Look…
On February 6, 2019 Bethesda Softworks UK released a small developer trailer called: “The Elder Scrolls Online – Elsweyr: Developer Deep Dive.” The trailer shows off game footage of what the Elsweyr expansion is going to look like. The trailer also explains what the Year, or Season of the Dragon’s first half entails. The developers really try to hype up the return of dragons, seeing how they were the main selling point of Skyrim. They hope to bring players back and draw in non-ESO players who loved Skyrim.
