My name is Katie and I am a college senior. My degrees are in Broadcast/Print/Web Journalism and Electronic Media. As it may be surprising from my lack of art department involvement, I have always loved interior design and creating my own space to feel like me. I’ve never taken any courses on the subject, but I’ve grown up watch all of the HGTV shows with my parents and have had some VERY strong opinions on the design choices the professionals have made throughout the years. Trends are always changing within the interior design world. It can be hard to keep up with all of them, so I simply don’t. I like my spaces to reflect what I like so they feel personal and not like a show room. At 22 years old, of course my style in the future will change. What I like now, I might not in 10 years when I hopefully don’t like in a studio apartment in a college town. But for now, this is how I feel and I’d like to share.
