Hello there friends!
Today, I want to write about one of my favorite parts of being a commuter student: the seasons changing.
From the beginning of the semester until now, I have had the pleasure of watching the same exact places in three different seasons: summer, fall and winter. It has been so incredible to watch the places I have begun to know like the back of my hand as they go through their own slow changes.
I think this is another one of those small things which I have truly taken for granted. I wish I would have done a better job of recording these seasonal changes throughout the semester. If I could do anything differently, I would go back to the beginning of the semester and take a picture at the same spot each time that we were in a new season! I think that would make a beautiful picture montage. Any of you who still have an opportunity to do this, I highly recommend it!
I really think that taking the time to look at the scenery that surrounds you is so important. I think that so many people our age are so focused on getting through things quickly and efficiently. Sometimes we forget how important it is to stop and smell the roses.
I hope this inspires you to slow down a little in the next few weeks and take a moment to appreciate your surroundings.
