Looking too make dinner for a significant other? Look no further. The dinner above was made for $25 which is a lot cheaper than going out. Impress for significant other with the heartfelt gesture making a home cooked meal. Here’s one good meal.
Here are the ingredients.
2 steaks (Whatever cut you can find at an affordable price. These are NY Strip Steak.)
2 potatoes
1pkg Italian cheese
Olive Oil
Cherry tomatoes
Garlic
1 bag of Spinach
McCormick cowboy rub
(Note: Many of these process steps need to occur at the same time.)
The Steak
To make, generously apply the rub to all sides of the steak. I cooked mine inside with a griddle attachment for the stove. This metal griddle sits right on top of the gas burners. You can also cook it on a grill. Use a meat thermometer to check if the meat is cooked by measuring the internal temperature.
The Baked Potato
To be honest, I did not bake them. I simply used the potato pouch above. You start by washing the potatoes and then put them in the pouch. Put the pouch in the microwave for roughly 8 minutes or as directed by the originally manufacturer. This gives you the baked quality in a lot less time.
The Salad
Their is no exact science on this part of the dish. Put some olive oil in pan. Add garlic to taste. Do not leave it in the pan cooking long as it burns easily. Chop the cherry tomatoes to the pan. when they start getting soft add the entire bag of spinach. Let it cook down all the way (Note: It will drastically change the constancy and reduce down.) Now add as much cheese as you would like. This part of the dish can be put on the steak.
Drink Pairing
When I was making this meal, I was looking for a good wine to pair with this for those who are of age. However, the most popular one that was recommended did not go well with the cowboy seasoning at all. Therefore, my recommendation is don’t worry about the official proper pairing. Get what ever the two of you like and that will probably work just fine.
