Best Products For Dry Season
My skin is too dry!
It is well into winter and to be honest, I am so done with it! If you are like me and live in an area where it is very dry, you feel my pain (literally). However, there are some awesome products on the market that are so good for your skin and can really help out!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater
I cannot get over how much I love this product. It is a refreshing and skin hydrating facial spray that has a light scent. You can spray it all over your face with or without makeup, day or night. It is a product I cannot live without. I personally like to use it before I put on my makeup at a moisturizing primer. I also like to use it after I wash my face to close my pores and hydrate my skin.
The bottle itself is pretty large for a facial spray and is only $7! Unfortunately you have to get this product at your local Ulta or Sephora; it is not sold in drugstores. But, it has a great price for a great product!
Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb
This moisturizer is a total dupe of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel. Both of these products are amazing.
I have had such dry skin that it is red and burns and these moisturizers have saved my skin. You only need a pea-sized amount for your entire face and it does the trick. Sometimes, I will only use it where my skin is the most dry.
What I also like about the product is that the formula is gel and not a lotion. It does not feel heavy on the skin because of this.
The only downside to the Garnier Moisture Bomb is that it does cost about $16 (at Ulta). However, as I mentioned earlier, you only need a small amount of the product for it to do its magic. This product does last a long time and it is effective.
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water
Nothing is more painful than have dry skin and having to remove makeup. The chemicals in makeup removing wipes will burn my skin and make it painful, especially around the eyes, to remove makeup. The company Simple has a cleansing water that makes it feel like you are literally just using water. You add this product to a cotton round and wipe your makeup off with no pain, even around the eyes!
This product is typically sold at all drugstores and it is normally in the section of face washes and cleansers. At Target it is priced at $9 but you might be able to get it for a little cheaper at Walmart.
Aquaphor Lip Repair
Talk about an awesome and cost effective lip moisturizer. It is unscented, transparent, and lasts a long time. The product is super moisturizing without the burning feel on your lips. I like to put it on at bedtime and I always wake up to soft lips.
This product is sold at typically all drugstores and sells for $5.29 at Walgreens. Again, you can probably get it a whole lot cheaper at Walmart.
The dry months are not a fun time, especially if you have dry skin like I do. Hopefully this products make your winter a little less miserable and make your skin healthy once again.
XOXO
