Korean Skincare Craze

Korean Skincare Craze

Korean skincare has been all the talk lately. Face masks, acne creams, eye creams, and many more have been popping up at my local Ulta. In Chicago, a store “Lily Rose” opened that only sells Korean skincare. But why korean? There isn’t much research on how well the products worked compared to U.S. skin care. But, I did a little research of my own on WHY everyone is into it, claimed benefits, and my thoughts on this.

Why

The website: peachandlily.com lists five main reasons why one should use Korean beauty products. One being gentle formulas. According to this site, Korean products are made with natural ingredients. Another reason this site lists is inside and outside results. Apparently Korean beauty focuses on improving skin from the inside out

Claimed Benefits

After reading many blogs and articles, many people all seem to claim that Korean Skincare products have changed their skin. But is this true? Or is it just a placebo?

Many people claim tighter skin, instant results, and clearer skin. Basically the Korean Skincare is the supposed cure all skin products.

My thoughts

I think this is definitely something I could experiment and possibly try if I had the money to do so. However, my parents have paid lots of money for excellent dermatologists and it took many years to clear up my skin. I think if my skin were still as bad as it used to be I would trust a doctor over foreign skin care products, however, that is my opinion.
