So we got things working, I think. We were able to power the servo with 4 AAA batteries. I think the plan is to get a second USB power pack since it'll be lighter and easier to keep charged.

We were able to use a multimeter to check the voltage going to the bluetooth module. When we actuated the servo, the voltage dipped by about 0.4 volts. That seems to be enough to reset the module.
