Women’s Basketball
Basketball season is winding down at UWW, and unfortunately I didn’t get to go to many games this season. In fact, I only went to two games, and they were both men’s. But since the women’s basketball team is still playing (and entering the WIAC Championship Final), I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite game photos. These were all taken last season, but most of the players in these photos are still on the team. Along with each photo, I will include the camera settings that were used. If you are unfamiliar with manual photography and what each camera setting does, I would recommend checking out my beginner’s guide.

When it comes to photographing sports, reaction shots can be just as important as action shots. The expressions on everyone’s faces after a teammate scores or the team wins or loses a game tell a story, and those emotional photos can sometimes turn out to be the most interesting ones of all.
