Jungle Jack comes to Whitewater!

OK, I’m repeating this blog from July 16th because the event happens this Sunday, August 29th:

“Jungle Jack” Hanna is coming to Whitewater on August 29th (6 pm, Whitewater High School gym). I can hardly believe it! I’ve watched his Saturday morning shows on TV and enjoyed his appearances on late-night talk shows.

UWW students and staff may borrow his 1989 biography (called Monkeys on the interstate: And other tales from America’s favorite zookeeper) from another UW library via the free Universal Borrowing service. A couple of videos are at the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library (Whitewater’s public library at 431 W. Center St.). Ask a librarian for assistance with finding materials, if desired.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at various spots in town–read all about it on the Whitewater Banner web site. Proceeds from ticket sales are to benefit downtown Whitewater with new bike racks and holiday decorations.
